Its been storming on and off here in Nor Cali. We need the replenishing rains as well as Nature and her inhabitants. I just hope it doesn't rain on Saturday. I'm heading up to Galbreath again for my Herpetology class. All the rain means we should see more amphibians than last time. I just don't want to get rained on. :P

During a break in the all the storming, I went out and took photos today. I took a ton of shots, but only a few were deviant worthy. I tried to expand a bit beyond flowers and such. I focused a little on the sky and bit of suburban life. I love walking around rockin out to my p3 player and taking photos. I was even dancing in the elevator when it took me to the top of the parking garage.

I added a few shots I took awhile back in Germany and during Invert biology field trips. I'm hoping to get some nice shots this Saturday. Cross your fingers it doesn't rain, too much.

I spent most of my day in Galbreath Wildlands Preserve with my field herpetology (amphibians & reptiles)class. Man was it awesome. We thought it was going to rain, as it has been for the last couple of days, but the weather was gorgeous.

The day was pretty mellow in terms of what we usually do. We didnt get the right vehicle, so there was a limit to how far in we could go. Vehicles with 4 wheel drive are needed to get around in the preserve. Regardless, we had a good time and I took some cool photos.

AND, today was just the beginning. Today was just a warm up to familiarize ourselves with the area. Next time we are kicking things into a higher gear and I'll be able to spend more time on photos.

Peace out.

wooot, my second journal entry....

I haven't taken too many new pictures since the ones I just submitted, but that will change soon enough. My Spring semester has just started and my bio classes will give me ample opportunity for more nature photos.

Im going on several field trips for my Entomology class and im going to be spending every other Saturday in a nature preserve with my Herpetology class. Excited doesn't even begin to cover it. We are even heading to the Mojave for a few days and a trip to Big Sur in on the horizon.

Course, Ill have to branch out a bit and not over focus on Nature photos. Im sure I will have many opportunities to graph some humans.

Whew. That took a hell of a lot longer than i thought to submit all my chosen photos...but yeah..

So, how about a bit of an introduction?

I decided to submit some of my own artistic work after spending a few drooling over what others can do. Well that and I created an account.

I seriously dig taking photographs. I will take shots of anything that strikes me as a potential photo, although i do tend to focus on Nature. I also tend towards key ideas like subject, color, light, juxtaposition and story.

I do photography actively and randomly. I try to always remember my camera and take pride in every photo I make, even if its crap.

As an artist, I don't limit myself to one medium, but photography is fairly dominant. I also revel in writing, drawing, painting and being krafty.

Thanks for checking out my work!

Peace out.
